 Barracuda
retrieves images and data from:
- A CD-ROM drive - best for single CD-ROM applications of 15,000 - 8.5x11
pages (about 4 standard file boxes) or less.
- A local hard drive - best for large applications using a single work
station.
- A network server - recommended installation for larger applications
requiring multiple work stations

| Powerful multi-field and sub-string searching for all keywords in the
database: |
- Basic program is set up with 4 (see note in user notes below) searchable
fields.
- Can contain up to 15 individual fields of data.
- Search across several applications from within the same software program.
- This data can be edited via a supervisor password by the user or can
be disabled entirely.
- Data is compiled using objective indexing by a FicheNet Imaging Solutions indexing
specialist

| Additional user notes field. This field has several options: |
- This field can be set to operate as a fifth search field (NOTE- exactly
as the other four fields above)
- Or can operate independently as a 'live' always editable field for the
user with no password protection
- Or can operate independently with password protection.

| Thumbnail viewing capability allows for many smaller images to be viewed
at one time, to speed with retrieval. The thumbnails are sizable by the user. |

| Viewing features include: |
- Fit to height.
- Fit to width.
- Thumbnail view.
- Zoom to a user drawn stretch box.
- Customized zooming with a locking feature that locks all successive
images/files to the user set stretch box area. (great for large drawings)

| Right and Left page rotation. |
- Also with a locking features that locks all successive images/files
to the user set rotation setting. (Again, Barracuda will remember locked settings from image to image and file
to file.)

| Printing includes: |
- Print single page or all pages.
- Print user selected range of pages.
- Print the zoomed (stretch box) area only. (A fantastic feature for zooming
in on an area of a larger engineering drawings)

| Administrator functions |
- Import entire volumes of images and data records at a time. Used for
importing new volumes of data and image files.
- Change root path. Allows for changes in drive letters or network settings
without the need to re-import everything again.
- Back up the database. (Images are not editable so the backups are the
original installation files and database)
- Restore the back up database.
- Password protection for supervisor and [e]ditable search fields. (other
levels of protection can be setup per your request.)
- Edit the program background and foreground colors using your system
color pallet.
